About God: We believe in one and only one God who eternally exists in three distinct Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Though there are three Persons, each fully God, there is but one God.
About the Father: We believe in God the Father, Almighty Creator of heaven and earth. The Father sent the Son to be the Savior of the world in order to restore His rebelious children back to Himself. Although he is fatherly in attitude toward all Creation, graciously sustaining all that exists, He has an intimate relationship with those He has adopted through the Son.
About Jesus Christ: Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. Fully human and fully God, Jesus lived a sinless life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all by dying on a cross. He rose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin, death, and the devil. He ascended to Heaven and will return again in power and glory to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. With the Father, He sends the Spirit into the world.
About the Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God. Fully God, He inspired holy men of old to write the Scriptures. He is present in the world to make mankind aware of our need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. The Christian seeks to live under His control daily. Through His various gifts He equips the Church to carry out God's mission in the world.
About Mankind: We are all created by the deliberate act of God and made in His image. We are the supreme objects of God's creation. Although God declared humanity in its original state to be good, we are now marred by rebellion against God that has corrupted the very nature of humanity in a way which mankind cannot reverse or restore. We call this corruption and its effects "sin." This is what separates us from God.
About Eternity: We all were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. Those who belong to God will dwell with Him forever in a new creation designed for the enjoyment of God and those who love Him.
About Salvation: Salvation is the gift of reconciliation from the Father through the Son by the Spirit. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God's provision of forgiveness can we be saved from the penalty of sin. Eternal life begins at the moment of salvation.
About Eternal Security: Because God gives us eternal life through Jesus Christ by the Spirit, the believer is secure in his or her salvation for eternity. Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian. It is the grace and keeping power of God that gives this security.
About the Bible: The Bible is God's word to mankind. It was written by men under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is truth without any mixture of error.
