John graduated from SMU with a BA in history, and is now working on a PhD in American History at SMU.  John believes that worship is quite simply living out the full ramifications of God being God.  Every breath of a believer and every area of a believer's life ought to be continually offered as a living sacrifice to the God whom we will never be able to praise enough.  The worship team strives to make Sunday mornings an opportunity for the Highland Baptist community to glorify God together and remind each other of the common hope we share, as well as to encourage and exhort each other to live out that worship during the rest of the week.  John loves reading, writing, hurting himself attempting to play sports, hanging out with friends, and amusing his wife, Kristin, who is the real musician in the family.  John recently became father to a beautiful little girl.
