Dr. Jeffery Bingham - Interim Pastor

Department Chair and Professor of Theological Studies at Dallas Theological Seminary, Dr. Bingham specializes in the study of early Christianity. He has written extensively on the early Christian church and his articles and essays have appeared in leading literary journals. Before joining the faculty of Dallas Seminary, he pastored a church in West Texas and taught at several Christian colleges. He also has served as assistant dean for theological studies at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

  Brecon Nichols - Children's Minister

Brecon graduated from Ouachita Baptist University with a degree in Elementary Education, and has been employed as a full time teacher since January of 2001.  When she was searching for a church home her prayer was, "Lord put me where I can serve you and your people."  She did not want to just be a person who attends church; She wanted to express Christ's love to the people by serving them.  Brecon then joined Highland in March of 2003 she immediately began teaching Sunday School for the Elementary age, and coordinating Vacation Bible School.  Over the past four years, God has moved Brecon into a leadership role, and with the help of God and amazing people she is now directing the ministry, and working full time as a youth worker. "The bible says that children are a blessing, and I am truly blessed each day that I work with the children and youth".

Josh Johnson - Minister to Students

Josh graduated from Bryan College in Dayton, TN in 2001.  His studies there focused on God's Word and Youth Ministry.  Josh is passionate about investing in today's youth to bring them to spiritual, emotional, and mental maturity.  Josh describes the ministry's primary target as, "Gaining a grasp of God's Word and therein, how he deals with his people." Josh also believes that the parent/youth relationship is incomprehensibly vital; therefore, our ministry seeks to equip parents for everyday life with a teen.  Josh is also passionate about sports and games whether they include balls and bats or insane teenagers.

  Deanna Page - Church Administrator
Deanna joined Highland in November 2007, bringing with her several years of experience. It is Deanna’s friendly and welcoming voice you hear when calling the church. She is the mother of four. Her husband, Lee, is the Minister of Worship & Students at a church in Dallas where the family attends. Her passion and deepest desire is to glorify God in all she does.
